Playing Game Can Kill.

Playing Game Can Kill.

A Poem by Onlyme

The girl who put up with a cheater.
He had three girls on the go.
And obviously one of them was her.

She found out about the other two
by accident one day.

She had been with him for a few months.
And loved his wit and charm
Even though at times
he was a pig.

But for some reason.
Women seem to love bad boys.

And she adores this pieces of s**t.
Even when she found out about
his cheating she forgave him.

Until one day. She heard he had
another and this time.
It turned out.
She was his wife Of 5 years.
And they had 2 kids.
Age 3years and 5 years.

Outwith the other girls,
she knows about. Including her.

Wow. she threw into a rage
and fired all his clothes out
her flat. And even went around
all the other girl's homes and
told them about this guy.

Some laughed in her face.
As they shut the door on her.
And others called the police
to chase her away.
As they didn't believe her
tale.

She even confronts his wife.
Who told her she knew all
about his bits on the side.
who they were and everything.

But he always came back
to her every night.

That was the last straw on
the camels back.
She went home to her flat
and slit her wrists that very
night.

Poor Rose, died that very night
broken-hearted, by otherwise
the hands of a nasty evil cheater
who broke her trust and fragile heart.

good stuff. love the title and the story told. you've packed a lot into this deep, powerful tale. sometimes i think that betrayal is the worst thing. no one wants to be cheated but perhaps if we securely love ourselves as God does we won't be driven to the edge no matter. easier said than done of course. stay strong and keep up the good work my dear friend ... :)

This one is dark and tragic. Unfortunately all too true as well!

Exactly John, sadly it happens to much in this present day. Thanks for your thoughts. Dawn.
Oh nooh I hope this is not a true story though we do hear such sad affairs. You depicted and portrayed it awesomely touchingly and gravely . It's great how you relate and narrate superbly in poetry. But no one should take ones life for being rejected by a fellow human. Kudos.

Poor Rose is not an isolated case unfortunately. Fragile hearts need care but first we must recognize our own self worth and preserve ourselves. Continue to tell about those things that actually happen, that society wants to push under the rug. When a man has several women at one time, he's just being a man. When a woman does it she's a s**t or worse a wh***. Wrong is wrong.

Dawn, thnx again for the read.

The girl took her life over a piece of s**t; more foolish, you cannot get.
Maybe some people are just too fragile for this life.
Compelling poetic tale, Dawn.

oh this ended so tragically! It always seems like the bad guy wins. And thats completely unfair. Its hard to know that somewhere close, theres always a scumbag getting away and the innocent taking the blame. Thats a sad reality about this world. sigh, if only there were a flip up of the bad and good. Maybe the world would be better, maybe not. But i think its a good chance to take :P

What a sad tale! A shame she didn't love herself as much as she loved him. Perhaps she would have realized he really wasn't worthy of her.

Take care - Dave

In one way, you want her to toughen up. The signs are always out there for cheaters. She found out, she should have dumped him. But this is the finality of betrayal. Sad write.

True Paul, but human beings tolorate and put up with so much behind close doors.

Yeah, you never know what's going on behind closed doors.

so very true Paul.
If, indeed, this is based on true events of people you know, it is really sad.

Thanks for sharing such touching and tragic story.

Reality of live is much more tragic than any fiction tale.
The deceit and treachery some are capable of is beyond belief. Why would anyone stay married to a person who carried on like this, hurting so many. Your poem reflects the type of stuff you read in the Sunday newspapers Dawn. It happens.
