Let them in now....

We all need to be wanted and loved

let alone cared for by others

but more so some special to us.

And yes you do, the odd exception

get someone who is happy on their

very own never having any other

human contact every. ie a hermit.

Yes, it's great to self-love.

And care about yourself.

But for some its really difficult

to do just that basic thing.

I can really relate and understand

someone who finds it hard to love

themselves due to whatever reason

it could be towards themself.

I spent so many years of my life.

In that same predicament.

Finding it really hard to even care

about me let alone love myself.

But over time and help from others.

And counselling. And learning to be

kind to me and to listen to my

own needs and desires.

I slowly learned to like myself

then love me for who I am.

Far from perfect just me.

We all have to learn to accept who

we are and all our failings and sufferings

to be able to move on and overcome.

And then realize it made us who we are today.

A survivor and a hero for overcoming so

much in past.

Others might disagree with me

but to me. This is what helped me

like me and learn to love myself.

Maybe it might help you too.

As facing our demons is far from easy

but long run it's well worth it.

Beleive me and good luck

in learning to like and love you too.

This was like reading a letter to oneself. I found it refreshing as we process life all the time. To see words such as these moving through the explanation of what and why life is precious was a reality which is a good thing. Blessings as you share and give of who you are in this world.

Life is just such a complex place sometimes. just being who we are and dealing with the difficulties which come into the live of others as well. Your poem was a good one.
