A Poem by orrin spencer

How long does anything last?

the joy, the smiles, the forgiveness, the lust...

I only want what you're wililng to give

I'll ask for no more and live for no less.

Don't try to cheat yourself

it's not just you who loses,

wondering why you held on

we all wonder what moments we lost.

Every moment shared or taken..

it all lives on, if only for someone else

make everything last and live for no less

take nothing that isn't given,

make the given moments last.

I like your poem, it makes you think, I liked a lot how you ended the poem with "take nothing that isn't given, make the given moments last." That is so true, something to treasure.
