I Sat and Talked with Love Today

I Sat and Talked with Love Today

A Poem by Sincerely Yours
"

A conversation with myself and Love

"
I sat and talked with love today
and asked him where he'd been
he stood there looking puzzled
so I asked him once again

he said he needed some time
he had no use for me
that I wouldn't let him in my life
though he tried so hard to be

and so I let him go once more
I thought it was only fair
for I realized I push away
those who truly care

It's so hard having the desire to love and to be loved for a fear of love leaving you once you've felt it. So we leave a crack in the door big enough to know it's there but small enough not to let it in until the want becomes a need...love the write and the subject.
