I'm Not Perfect

I'm Not Perfect

A Poem by Melyssa Hightower
"

Who wouldn't agree with me?

"
I'm sorry, but I'm not perfect. You always tell me to do the best I can.
But how can I do that when you aren't there to help me, but only to
criticize me? I can't do everything you want me to do; I have to do
things for myself. It doesn't take a day to fix everything, it takes
time. You tell me to talk, but you don't listen. So why waste my breath?
It's pointless. Everyone messes up at one point. Even you aren't
perfect, but you sure do act like it. You don't understand. You get mad
at everyone and take it out on me. It's not fair. Nobody's perfect.
