Read me for the long ride home

Read me for the long ride home

A Poem by oursong2

Sunrise

Brings us morning

Each and every day

May we find enough breath

To pass them away

We toss and turn

So we might forget

What we did last night

Better cross that check

Like a million days

I have done before

Walking in so loud

Never knocked on the door

Even though my eyes were glazed

My mind was empty

The tears they paved

My body

My heart

My soul

I was burning up

Even out in the cold

Oh with this way I'm going

I will never get old

Does not mean I'm not trying

Or I can't feel

Please help me in the morning

So i can heal
