Sweet little angel

This poem was written the day we buried my sister. I wrote it originally three years ago and it was one of the hardest things I personal have ever written.

A place where I love you is

Where flowers bloom and grass is green 

Where hearts fly free of their baggage

Free of their sorrows and pains

Now rest your sweet head on tomorrows flowers

Wish for peace forever

This world of hate can not kill my love for you 

My little one I would rather die for you 

Than live one day without knowing you 

I would rather have my heart shattered a million times 

Then to see you so cold and still

You never met me or knew me

But I got to meet, know, and hold you

At first glance I fell in love with you 

So rest your sweet little face

In the flowers so pure and soft

Hidden from tomorrows troubles

But not from my love

I'll love you forever more

My dearest baby sister 

My sweet little angel spread your wings and fly

I struggled to write my feelings on paper and I personally feel this captures the grief of the moment and wishing for the safety of a soul.
