Land of the free

This is from a solider's point of view.

I've put up with life

Sheltered everyone

Put up with abuse 

Have been sucked into my own mind 

I'm tired of being held back

I'm going to break free 

The chains are falling lose at my feet

Freedom comes with a price

I'm willing to make that sacrifice

Breaking through the bondage headed toward 

The land of the free

Life throws struggles at you 

Half the time you end up on the floor

Keeping you from reaching full potential 

Dragging around a ball and chain living half a life 

Realizing you are not some prisoner 

Finally standing up to fight 

Fighting for freedom, peace, happiness, or joy 

Got to fight protect them all in

The land of the free
