Forevermore

Forevermore

A Poem by Lisasview
"

Rhyming Quatrains with a Rhyming Couplet envoi poem regarding thoughts of death... Grateful to Richard for finding the perfect artwork for my poem and helping me along my journey writing poetry.

"

     Forevermore....

Lie me down on a bed of lavender;

naked, I will be in the blazing sun.

Upon death, to this earth I surrender …

for, my journey here with you is now done.

Remember my laughter in ocean's waves …

floating along with no care in the world.

As we hid inside of deep dark sea caves,

our eyes met softly, as blue waters swirled.

Kissing your salty neck, I held on tight

with loving thoughts....I drift to you again,

watching day's sun disappear into night,

knowing our true love's depth would never wane.

Beyond life, to your open arms I soar;

our souls entwine now ~ and forevermore....

Angels folding wings around each other, with feathers to spare. Ethereal. Words escaping me, like a sweet mist kissing memories that never fade. thank you for this write.
UPDATE! 2-23-24: I recently re-read your poem. I am sorry now that I completely missed the pacing of it, the subtle rhyming that I overlooked upon my first read. The ending so subtle and sensual. Beautiful. Thank you, sincerely.

this poem is so beautifully written, Lisa! i mean it, it is amazing and once i read the first verse, i just couldn't stop until the very last one. very comforting words, but also advocating to the roughness of nature, the contrast of love and death, light and darkness... thanks for sharing this with us!

This is a stunning verse. A sonnet to comfort all who grieve, for surely there is a brighter heavenly light beneath which we will rejoice eternally! Your envoi is simply perfect! So nice to read your work!

P.S. Perhaps sounds like a Sonnet, but it is a Rhyming Quatrain with a Rhyming couplet envoi.

I just finished reading your poem "Forevermore" and I have to say, I am completely blown away. Your words are so powerful and evocative, and they really touched me on a deep level.
The way you use imagery to create a sense of place and mood is truly masterful. The idea of lying down on a bed of lavender is so peaceful and calming, and it really sets the tone for the rest of the poem. And the way you describe the ocean, with its waves and caves and blue waters, is so vivid and beautiful.
Your use of language is also really impressive. The way you've structured the lines, with their rhymes and rhythms, gives the poem a sense of flow and musicality that's really pleasing to read. And the way you've chosen your words, with their soft sounds and gentle alliteration, creates a sense of intimacy and tenderness that's really moving.
But what really struck me about your poem is the depth of emotion that it conveys. The way you describe the love between two people, and the way you explore the idea of life and death and what comes after, is so powerful and moving. Your words really touched my heart, and I know they will stay with me for a long time to come.
Thank you so much for sharing your gift with the world. Your poem is truly a work of art, and I feel honored to have had the chance to read it.

You have expressed these lines in such a beautiful and poetic fashion that it leaves a heartfelt impression. You are welcoming your new journey with open arms, as you lie fondly inculcated with the meaningful memories, lessons and insights gained the way through. You are drifting in a divine direction, where etheric ends will meet, and spirit will ascend. In this next journey, you shall drift again with newfound grace, in a timeless travel that doesn't map destinations, but sets destinies through boundless horizons. The colours will flow and dance again in each new creative rhythm, as fresh realities bloom, in the afterglowing essence of the bygone experience.
Kind regards,
