Ruby Red Blush

Ruby Red Blush

A Poem by Lisasview
"

A simple 2-rhyme, 8 count wishing poem of sweet romance and affectionate passion ... hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it for you.

"

  Ruby-Red Blush

Glowed, ruby-red blush ~ when first kissed,

with purely heavenly warmth blissed.

Arms sought to tenderly entwine …

words whispered lovingly divine.

Young sweetness would be surely missed.

When golden dreaming’s dreams persist,

my open heart would then insist

two lives forevermore combine …

glowed, ruby-red blush ~ when first kissed.

Sublimely made, a promise list;

now, never wanting to resist.

Tho’ cloudy days, our sun would shine,

those words you said I wish were mine!

I laid alone and reminisced …

glowed, ruby-red blush ~ when first kissed.

Dreaming's dreams is poetic gold! An image in an image into infinity. The lovers lose their virginity in a passionate tale told. I like how you create that little twist in the end revealing the whole thing was just a dream. (I hate it when they do that in a movie) The advancing line works seamlessly in each verse. Nice meter. Excellent poem Lisa!

I just love it when someone can weave a story in so few lines and the emotions just pour into the picture you framed in your poetic lines:) you have the gift of a painter like one of my favorite poets in here mr. Kindle Ken Simms I really enjoy it when I can see the words in a poem like a scene

That sweetest of 'firsts', so beautifully remembered and described Lisa...in your graceful lines, flow and lovely rhyme -sealed with a ruby red "X". Thank you for bringing back a memory of a young girl who once was...with eyes raised to his, long auburn hair waving, dressed in faded jeans and delicate blue and white lace peasant blouse... receiving that one, first, perfect kiss... a very beautiful write my friend.

Day dreaming and reminiscing about love, entwined in deep lush, rube red lips and oh so romantic, who wouldn't want to relive a wonderful tryst....it was always sunny when you were together....young love is so different then us older folks.... it's new and so intense that you just want to keep it forever. I love your rhyme Lisa and the whole creativity of this piece. I enjoyed it and it even brought back some memories for me (a hundred years ago)!

Innocence is such an experience that we only have once and can only remember afterward. In reviewing these pieces I would say your words fit so well "Those words you said I wish were mine". This poem applies so well to reading poetry and gleaning words and phrases that later we steal for our own works "there is nothing new under the son" said Ezekiel. Just rambeling but I feel that this poem goes deeper than the surface. Well done
