An Older Man

An Older Man

A Poem by Britteny

You I want to hold

I don't care if I'm not old

You are so strong so bold

I will do as instructed as told

Age is but a number

Is it something that's got you under?

A spell...that is society

They don't have the key

To what a true relationship should be

Why don't we give this a look see

Put your loving arms round

This is where I'm to be found

With an older man so profound

By only true love bound

I am not meaning to tempt you

I just want love back too

Please don't make me blue

Even though it's taboo in every hue

Breaking laws breaking rules

But I will remain the stubborn mule

I know deep down in your heart inside

There are feelingd you cannot hide

WHy can't you just let them out live abide

See changing is the tide

As you reach out to embrace

Not sorrow or regret upon your face

You take it slow and show no haste

Now love as we do hug no talk of distaste

Love sweet love

You have given me from above
