In Your Arms

In Your Arms

A Poem by Britteny

In your arms I find my serenity

Peace in your eyes and the world stands still

The Earth can spin wildly

But in your lips all madness stops

Winds beat and furrow a thick brow

I feel but only a soft gentle breeze

My rock my sheild I'm by your side

It's amazing how sucha small figure

Can make one feel ever so safe

As the world crumbles from underneath

Still I continue to walk on soild ground

Because in your arms I find my serenity

Faith in your hands and my future's set

The tender crook of your slim neck

Yet it's soft desire floods my soul

That self speaking voice of individuality

Just seem to reassure that passion's strong

Your cheeks your lips such a sound

That envokes memories we're yet to share

I tend to dream and savor in my mind

And those prominate arms to caress

Show me all the surprizes along the way

Because in your arms I find my serenity

But in your soul I find true love
