to the extrication ofA Poem by paperrush
pulled me from the river
left me on the bank hash mark on your cheek and a crater in your chest. the meteor flash left us colder than before but we were never wiser than when we were not old and everything amasses a mile before the hold where you wait to love me and i wait to say goodbye. a heaven for the hopelessness a plague between your eyes we are not yet what we were a monsoon of reason for your desert of faith where all that you grew was all that we ate and alone, i have prayed as if you were a saint but all that you are is undone.
