carcinogen

A Poem by paperrush

carbon skin the only thing
strong enough to hold you in
steel-cut hope all rolled up
in flax to burn at both ends
ignite my blood
and baby i'll let you in
if you promise to be kind
and maybe let me win
jet blue heart the color of
sweet and ugly tears
just pinched pink blush flooding your
love and bleeding fears
so strike our chord
and darling i'll line you up
if you promise to be soft
and never get enough
