A DayA Poem by soaringdiver34The sun isn't shiningA day, a day That swayed past May Who’s leaves withered and fell Unto the ground they lay A sight, a smell A laugh, a tell A day, a day That I wish I could see The day where the leaves Grow whole again My heart seethes And our eyes don’t meet I wish it were to be A day again A day, a day Once it turned May The leaves withered and fell Unto the blackness they dwell A tear so bitter A smile so sweet Swathing swords of self Who’s reliance remains A nest so pure A heart so gold I even thought that you were my cure As it takes hold It grips so tight The only thing I feel Is the cold take hold The night begins And the day is gone Behind us wherein More troubles ahead The only cure Is the road ahead Where perhaps it may be A day again © 2018 soaringdiver34 |
