Run with Me

Run with Me

A Poem by Incindie M. Coeur

just because you didn't ask me to,

doesn't mean i'm not going to fall for you.

this race i'm running

i come up short,

it was my last chance, honey

but i'm still yours.

it's that way you talk to me,

i always feel like i'm drifting out to sea because

your words

are like waves, they bring me in and they take me away

i'm just a lovesick sailor

in a lonely bay.

and maybe one day, baby

we'll meet again.

our eyes will lock, we'll run

far

hand in hand.

but until then sweetheart, know that i'm still yours

stranded here on the beach, of your lonesome shore.
