Damp Lashes

Damp Lashes

A Poem by D.L. Simmons
"

a poem I wrote a long time ago

"

Damp lashes

Rest in my palm

Dewdrops could be the culprit

There’s no way to tell

Except I feel salt

Condense slowly

And trickling down to fingertips

The liquid pain

I finally realize is mine
