Hmm ... Well now Crystal, I was thinking of the format of a limerick just last night, cause I was gonna make one w Teddy Bears from a photo I took recently.

I think a limerick goes, 8-syllables, 8-syllables, 5- or 6-syllables, 5- or 6-syllables (matching the previous), and then 8- or 9-syllables (doesn't need to match) to end.

Here is one:

There was a great swell in Japan,
Whose name on a Tuesday began ;
It lasted through Sunday
Till twillight on Monday,
And sounded like stones in a can.

However, for your first limerick this is quite good ! Keep at it ! :)
