world war 2

world war 2

A Poem by Sarah
"

a poem abot an evacuee

"

My dear child it's time to leave,

To the contery out of need.

Away from bombing,

From deth and camps.

Away from tanks filled with gas.

An evacuee who shows no fear,

For you I am always near.

When the war is over you will come home,

You will not forever be alone.

When bombs stop falling and jews are free,

You my dear will come home to me.

World War II is one of my favorite time periods to study. This is a beautiful, very emotive piece. Their are a few punctuation and spelling errors, but over all well done!

could use punctuation in a few places "You(,) my dear(,) will come home to me."

A very touching poem considering the subject.
