To Be A Rose~

To Be A Rose~

A Poem by poet2angels (lynda)

Let me play in your garden
Swaying in the breeze,
my petals blowing gently
as droplets of dew
sprinkle upon your skin.
Press me to your face
and inhale my sweetened scent
as butterflies flutter
in need of nectar.
Admire me from a distance
as bouquets are tossed
to bless the fate
of another bride.
Should you dare to pluck me,
take me gently
and I shall bloom eternal;
a rose without thorns.

Lord, this is a lovely job. It is simple but very sensuous and alluring. Gardens and flowers are one of life's true delights.

Gah, the way you can just make anything sound so peaceful and beautiful. It's not a talent that you share with many others. Again, an excellent piece of writing.

Oh now that was really beautiful.

Should you dare to pluck me,
take me gently
and I shall bloom eternal;
a rose without thorns.

No thorns when love is handled with care.
