Ancient Warrior

Ancient Warrior

A Poem by Poetic Beauty

Whispers swirls

Within midnight air

A bite stings my face

Icy fingers of death

Stroke pale soft cheeks

A shallow grave

Gives no peace

The shadow dances

Lurking in the beyond

Slightly visible

With a misty form

The vanishes, gone

Ancient stones

From a tragic time

Mark the spot

Of a warriors decline

No fancy marker

Or grand statue

Stands

Only dirt and rocks

Cover this man

Earth once covered

With crimson blood

Where wild flowers

Decorate the

Forgotten flood

This specter

Dances between

The past and present

Waiting for the girl

With eyes shaped

Like a crescent
