Walls

something that simply came to mind.

As the walls crumple

And ruin lay at your feet

there is no one to blame

but the person staring in the mirror

feeling tried and meek

Words spoken

in a realm 

not quite here

have all but died

and disappeared

When silence is broken

and emotions come to light

all that is wished for

is the cloak of night

The castle

guards have fallen

asleep on the job

leaves a once

imperturbable force

with an opening 

for decimation

as the general forges on

The knights

lost their courage

to keep the heart

safe

as words were spoken

that should have never been shown

for vulnerable is the heart that stands alone.
