Jacobs Questions

Jacobs Questions

A Poem by sheila lott

While cleaning house one day I had sat down to rest,

and my tiny five year-old laid his head on my chest.

Mama there are things I do not understand

well if you ask me son,I will answer the very best I can.

Mama why do I have to go to school?

because son, knowledge is a powerful tool.

Mama what are stars?

they are for you to wish on from afar.

Mama do you believe in god above?

yes son,he is who shows us love.

Mama do you believe in the angels that fly around in my dreams?

yes son,and I believe they are as real as they seem.

Mama why do you make me pickup my toys?

because they are yours son,and I guess boys will always be boys.

Mama is it alright if sometimes I cry?

yes son and when you are finish I will wipe your face dry.

Mama can you tell me why sometimes my grades are not very good?

yes son,if you listen closer you might had understood.

One more question mama,if thats ok?

go ahead son,say what you need to say.

Mama will you love me when Iam a man?

yes my sweet son,I will always love you the very best I can.

Good Morning sheila lott,

This is a prime example of poetry... There are no rules, no boundaries...

Very touching for us all I am sure (kids or no kids). This was portrayed beautifully.

I was sitting there with you and your son in the same room.

I have learned to (can be a hassle at times) ask everything I hear, see, feel and taste questions. Now my 4 year old has been doing so for the past 2 years. Some of these questions are starting to get a little tricky to answer. Lol As a parent I am sure you can relate.

Beautiful Write

Thank You
