Princess, Princess

Princess, Princess

A Poem by Emily Dickinson Jr.
"

a poem about feminine empowerment with a different spin read it to find out its a poem it wont take long

"

Softly like a bell jingling in the breeze

And as blunt as an arrow

Rebounding off a tree

Are her voice and attitude

Both truly fair

And much appreciated by her Prince Charming

But only as soon as his steed and he

Can bother to be there

Months, go by, others days and weeks

And she stays put

Patiently swaying in the breeze

Like a peony she grows delicate

As if by such as a mere sneeze

Could snuff out her existance

And as you please, she leaves

With velvet slipers upon her feet

She scales her own tower, only in reverse

She defeats the dragon, kills the witch

This princess takes down her own curse

Without a hitch she walks on and on

More pincesses escape

And now the princes must wait

They giggle and play

With the nymphs and the elves

Altogether free always better never worse

And when they go

This time to save a prince

They take with them

A magic in the air

They leave some behind

Magic twinkles by the jars in the shelves

Knowing not a princess will ever

Give into fate

And never again was there a prince

Who would ever dare be late

Very intresting read. Great detail and imagination, it works really well in this poem. You have a very strong introduction sentence, which is great! It keeps the attention of the reader very well, and it is very fast paced. I love it, congratulations.

^.^
I wonder if princes even dare to be princes anymore, the princesses would smack them on the head for thinking that a princess can't save herself.
Lovely poem!

oh lol I get it now!
I really like this, it's an interesting take on the traditional "damsel in distress" formula. I especially like:

And never again was there a prince
Who would ever dare be late

It's funny and whimsical. Keep up the good work!
