Rain

Rain

A Poem by Kaitlyn Danielle
"

My friend help me out with this one, she should be given credit too.

"

        As raindrops hit my face,

                I sink to my knees

        And cry out in pain.

                The rain is my tears.

        Tears stream down my face.

As I cry out your name.

        No one hears my screams.

                The rain is my tears.

        My hands clench in fists.

                Against the gravel.

        Rocks cut into my skin.

                You don’t know…

        Clouds resemble my mood,

                Thunder rolls and lightning flashes.

Rain pours down on this lonely, gravel road.

                You just don’t know…

I hold myself so I won’t tear apart.

My being shatters as I remember

The smile that makes me giggle.

                The rain is my tears.

        As raindrops hit my face,

I sit in the lonely, gravel road.

And I cry out in pain.

                The rain is my tears.
