Dawn

Dawn

A Poem by crazer
"

A joyful look a nature

"
Dawn

From my porch I long to see
How this new day came to be
First the graying of the night
Just before the burning light
A silver haze backlights the ridge
And lights the way for Heaven’s bridge
For surely Angels tread this way
As they set out to sow the day
From God’s love pure light springs new
Born from all that’s bright and true
What carnal mind could ere’ display
The burning promise of a brand new day

I loved the soothing rhythm and strong emotion and imagery!!

Beautiful, imaginative description of dawn. I'm an early riser and sunrise is my favorite time of day.
I can only imagine what ancient people, who did not know about science or planetary movements, must have thought as the sun rose each day. Expertly rhymed and metered.

I certainly did enjoy this, Crazer! Wonderful imagery; in your words, I am sitting on that porch, watching the dawn break. Well done!
