THE WINDOW

This is a Senryu. This Japanese form of poem has 5-7-5 syllables format but it is different from a Haiku in the sense that it is related to Human nature

Windows of your heart,
Keep open, let in Love; there's
enough room for him.

Windows of your mind,
Don't close, Mr. Knowledge's to come-
Shouldn't you greet him?

Windows of conscience,
Welcome Truth,Justice; mentors
to you when in doubt.

Windows of senses,
Open wide to Famous Five :
Sight, Touch, Sound, Taste, Smell.

Windows of your soul,
Open to Enlightenment;
Your guide let him be.

Author's Note

This is collection of Senryu for THE WINDOW (POETRY WRITING CONTEST). I think I am not wrong in saying these are Senryu as they basically deal with human nature and human emotion.
