In The Dark

In The Dark

A Poem by John Preston
"

Sleep time

"

Close thy eyes clear within

Darkness forms forms appear

Know not what open door

Another life another world

This world, next world past world too

Past present future none

Cloudy misty cling film to

We travel so far exhausted we are

Seeking unknowing unsure

Somtimes we close then open again

Time as gone

Twillight night clear as day

No time this life all as one

Our will be suppreme

No harm, no ill befall thee our dream

Dead to this world not knowing we

Sleep like a baby,shut eye

Nap, kip  20 or 40 winks we take

To name but a few

Who spends half there lives in bed

Not eye..Apple and pears not bungalow

It's time for me
