Mid - Summer

Mid - Summer

A Poem by John Preston
"

Just Nature

"

Mid-summer's day and night

Feels so right to night

Open plain, Stone circle

Corn dollies, wicker men we alight

Shades of green, see our trees

Sky,ocean blue, purple, red too

He the sun god sleeps so late

this very night

Earth in full bloom all can see

Second night of feasting,merryment

Singing, dancing,music, frolicing too

Bonfires abound for all to see

Mead flows like a stream

In abundance so

Rituals incantations must be

All are welcome near or far

Moon so brite this clear warm night

Camp fires burn

At night from afar, stars have fallen

So great is the number

Rejoice five score or more
