Lughnasadh

Lughnasadh

A Poem by John Preston
"

Nearly harvest time that time of year

"

This night it be a special time

Our Goddess in the sky

She see’s all, knows all

She’s always in our minds

Her energy she gives freely

To those that believe

Best time full moon, I know

This harvest time begins

For man and fellow creatures to

Are not the nights closing

Our God he be falling

A few more weeks

He will have his peak

Then Goddess of winter be

It does not matter so

For we can see that, thats gone before

Tis Lughnasadh time

Harvest time, thanks giving time

Cutting of trees for winter fuel

Storing our crops hard times have we

Our Goddess in the morn we see

We speak she energy be

Our Mother tells openly

Tis on the ground, in the air

Spiders webs hedges to

There’s spring time for cleaning

That we do, this time tis summer time

This weekend I do

Good morn to you.
