A Poem by John Preston
"

It's about a Chihuahua puppy

"

My name is Fluffy:
It could be Custard ( cream )
Eleven weeks old today I am
A sweet bundle of soft fluffy fur
I’m like a little Teddy bear
I’m very quiet and sleep a lot
I live with Mum, Dad and
there’s my older brother
who’s nearly two years old
I play in the house garden too
Brother, sisters same age as I

now left gone new homes not far
When strangers enter my house
I run and hide, don’t want to leave
My human Mum says I have to go
Her daughter, husband really would
like to keep me as a new family member
I’m no trouble at all I play in the garden
I like the tulip heads, the red ones are best
they look very pretty on the green grass
I like to dig little hole’s in the lawn
Just like mum hiding her biscuits
I like to eat young flower shoots
The ones in the tubs best of all
One of us jumped in a tub last week
dug a big hole what a nice mess
I play in the house with paper,
cardboard, slippers, shoes, just fun
I play with Loki my big brother
tug-a- war is best, or we run a round in
the garden chasing each other
but he always catchers me
I’ve had my second vaccination
My first one hurt, I’m very small
My human dad comforted me
