Youth

Youth

A Poem by John Preston

Handle with care, she’s so fare
Gorgeous long, flowing hair
Eye’s so bright, so star light
Seeing you, seeing me
Looks that could, melt a heart
Rosé checks Oh! A peach
Her smile, yes her smile takes hold
Saying unspoken words of love
Take control blinded fool
Now her snowy perfect white teeth
See how they emit a call
Oh! Yes sweet, sweet lips
Red, so red apple red
Not for biting Oh!  so soft
Lip to lip hearts do melt
Lost in a world of their own
So petite her body form of youth
Yes this full blossom form
Could be a rose take control
Oh! Do you smell sweet aroma
Senses taken unfolding truth
Holding close two as one
Knowing feeling is it true
Eye to eye flesh to flesh
lip to lip hand in hand
Time has come paradise

This is terrific. Such fine words, they tell of something I, and perhaps you, no longer posses, but now see with special vision. Oh to spend just one day with boundless energy again!
