I'm Not A Toy

I fell apart years ago

Missing so many pieces

I don’t ask to be healed

I don’t need to be treated

There is no need to say I am broken

I am not a toy

You can’t fix me

Because I don’t need to be fixed

I need to be understood

I need someone to hear me out

What is it to be told something is wrong with you

Well f**k anyone who can say such things

I am fine without it

I aint crazy

I’m hurt

 

I just want to be held

I want someone to share my pain

I don’t need anyone to tell me what’s wrong

Just sit and listen to the feelings that pour

And maybe when I realize you understand

I will go on with my life and know that someone knows how I feel

And when I am consumed once again

I will go to you

I will do it all over again

And life will go on

 

I am not a broken toy

I just need someone to hear me

You can’t fix a person

We don’t have missing pieces

You can’t find what’s missing and fix it

Sometimes all it takes is a little love

Maybe just a friend

But no matter you can’t try to fix a person

It’s a choice that no one else can make.
