Lightning Rod

Lightning Rod

You always had the gumption.
Lived life to a code.
Were willing to go against the grain for what is right.
Made unpopular choices and stood firm.
Believed.
Had spine.
But life beat you down.
Made you change.
You stood by powerlessly from the sidelines and watched.

I am the fool in the rain.
No need to come looking for me.
No longer afraid.
Bring it on.
Pour it on.
Flip the switch.
I stand ready.
Angry clouds.
Wind.
Tears.
Pain.
Darkness.
Insanity.

In your face.
Deal with it.
Craaaaaaaack!
Boooooooom!
Sizzzzzzzzle!
Traaaaaaaaveling.
Tried and fried.
Feel the juice.
I am the ...
... lightning rod ...
