Wishing Well

A Poem by Pete

Well wisher.
Penny pincher.
Dream weaver.
Grant me a picture.
I speak my words to you.
Fill you with my tears.
Here's one for your thoughts.
If they were horses then beggars would ride.

I want to ride.
Fast and furiously.
In your golden grotto.
Take me where you will.
I am ready.
Cast me your spell.
Grant me new life as I dwell.
Don't make me yell ...
... at the wishing well ...
