Little Bird (Seeing God)

Little Bird (Seeing God)

A Poem by Pete
"

The birds I heard today, which, fortunately, did not come within the scope of my science, sang as freshly as if it had been the first morning of creation. - Thoreau

little bird
whence do you come
little bird
to where do you go
little bird
who made you
little bird
from whom do you get your resplendent glow

little bird
please tell me
i beg you
for whom do you sing

who is it that you know

A wonderful poem shared Pete. The Native Americans watched the birds. When the birds and silence and hiding. A big storm is coming. Nice flow of thoughts led to amazing ending. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

I think once we really find our spiritual selves (not necessarily in a religious sense), we will find the answers to those questions...
maybe we are that little bird and that little bird is us.
nicely composed, Pete, always a joy to read your words.'

Our avian friends I do feel bring us closer to our Creator. Their birdsong at dawn can touch the spirit in a very special way. Also they are such fascinating creatures. Amazing that those little wings can carry them thousands of miles. We had a Robin who would flit into our kitchen when I left the door open. Sometimes I used to think it was the spirit of a loved one come to pay us a visit. Love these creatures and your Thoreau quote Pete.

all from a brilliant, loving creator. love ... :)
God is existed in everything, even though these little graceful creatures, as I read your lovely sweet words I feel your yearning to be that bird, to see what he sees, to know what he knows... something maybe us human don't acknowledge. You opened a door for enlightment here, and one can't but ponder through this rich thought. I love this little gem of a song. Thank You always Pete 💕

I like chirping birds once I’m awaken. I don’t like them when they wake me up
