The mazed aspect being part of the season itself...we are part of nature, in a way she symbolises changes within us also and as the leaves start to mutate so do us humans in a way...you have a skill for concise articulation Pete :) Not sure I explained my thoughts very well on this piece though lol

the seasons have us pause and take stock of changes. ah, yes, we are inextricably tied to nature. it respects us, should we not respect and honor it as well? it is a gift to us that keeps on giving, asking nothing in return ... :)

i love the seasons but as you say, autumn is a welcome reprieve from summer's heat and humidity. not a big fan of pumpkin pie - prefer squash for its milder taste. thanks so much for sharing ... :)
