When Rock Meets Blues

When Rock Meets Blues

A Poem by Pete
"

When I hear music, I fear no danger. I am invulnerable. I see no foe. I am related to the earliest times, and to the latest. - Thoreau

G&L Superhawk Deluxe Jerry Cantrell Electric Guitar Review - Premier Guitar

strummin' and pickin'
soulful, heartfelt, finger lickin'
joy and tears
youthful days morph into elderly years
spotlights and dark shades
close shaves and rusty blades
years and decades making immeasurable trades

rhythm and melody of time finds its groove and lingers
once flying, nimble, now arthritic fingers
tired, steppin' feet tappin'
outstretched neck bobbin' and flappin'
too big to fail
fillin' my ships sail

no matter
when rock meets blues
you don't ask questions
you just throw down and

let it wail
