Accordance

What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lives within us. - Thoreau

the river that flows through this town
also flows through me
ubiquitous
unhindered
through all that i could ever dream or dare to be
my spirit taking refuge at its banks, securely rooted and painfully growing as a tree
because it's better to know blindly deep inside than superficially to see

woe may be me
but faith holds the key
to rise above
in a bold decree
destiny prays and harkens my plea
and mercifully has no choice with nothing but truth
happening

to agree

"Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth. I sat at a table where were rich food and wine in abundance, an obsequious attendance, but sincerity and truth were not; and I went away hungry from the inhospitable board." - Truth
