Push Her Down

Push Her Down

A Poem by Breanna Ragland

You hit her

Beat her

Pushed her down

Do you think she likes,

Her face on the ground?

You yelled at her,

Shouted,

Cursed at her too.

Do you honestly think,

She still loves you.

Will the marks go away,

I’m sure they will.

But the internal pain,

Will never heal.

Shell never forget the way

You pushed her,

Beat her,

Knocked her down.

The way you always,

Shoved her around.

I just have one question sir,

Does it make you feel good

When she bleeds from her mouth.

Does it make you feel strong,

When you knock her out?

Do you feel like a man,

As she hits the floor?

But here’s a better question.

Do you feel any remorse,

As she walks out that door?
