Never Find Me

Never Find Me

A Poem by Breanna Ragland

I dream in color.
With my eyes wide.
I watch sunsets of ember and frost.
As I fall from skies raining blood.
I perch on destiny.
As hope floats by.
I sift through life.
In bits and pieces.
I watch the fall of nations.
And the rise of kingdoms.
But you'll never find me.
I'll be the light at the end of the tunnel,
Your footprints in the sand,
I'll be the person you couldn't.
And you'll never find me.
I'll bask in the deaths of many.
I'll breath the dank air of lost hope.
I'll drink in the lives of the innocent.
I'll toast to the slaughter of the bravest men.
I'll fall from skies raining blood.
And though you search with the Lights Of Glory,
You'll never find me.
