Burn It Down

Burn It Down

A Poem by Breanna Ragland

You warned me not to mess with fire.
I now see it's destruction.
And it's sad... the damage it causes.
But I like it.
You tell me not to play with matches.
But I do.
I swore I'd burn this place one day.
And that's just what I did.
I can't help you.
So, I'll lock the door.
I hope you made peace with God...
Because they told me not the play with matches.
But I did.
