The Whirlwind of Love

The Whirlwind of Love

A Poem by Quinn W
"

The ups and downs of love.

"
"Hello?"
Eyes meet,
hearts race,
lips part,
no words.

"Hello?"
Door opens,
arms tangled,
embraced,
movie.

"Hello?"
Eyes roll,
head turns,
voices loud,
ears closed,
hand slaps.

"Bye!"

"Hello?"
Eyes meet,
hearts race,
lips part,
no words.

"Hello?"
Lips meet,
bodies collide,
one.

"I love you."

"Hello?"
Kneeling,
hands out,
diamond ring.

"Yes!"

"Hello?"
Sneaky peek,
white dress,
draping veil,
tears.

"I can't."

This is exquisitely written to feel like a waterfall of flittering emotions & actions, nicely described with many quirky & action-oriented verbs that add energy to the tumbling flow of the piece. All in all, reminiscent of "falling in love" -- the poster child for SHOW instead of tell.

Wow! firstly I am so honored that my writing has inspired you to write wonderful piece. I can see certain parts of my book in this (the ones which others haven't seen)

I am impressed by the style in which you have done this.
You know that it would put a smile on my face to see a well put together piece. Well guess what? It did just that.

I LOVED IT AND THANK YOU.
Mark.

Aye. I could gaze at this one for a while. A job well done. Sounds great. Speaks of "real."
