Maybe I am way off base here, but I picture a man and a woman at a bar drinking together and then scurrying off to somewhere private for some sensual activity. In any case, I like the indentations and where I traveled while reading. Thanks, E. Lydi**

Very short but good poem! Makes me think about various ways to interprete your words. You really leave it open to ones imagination. I am confused and amazed at the same time.

Perhaps its the visual artist in me but I see this as a photograph or possibly following on from Lydi's comment, The Nighthawks by Edward Hopper. In any case it is remarkably evocative.

What an absolutely smashing write we have here. More cerebral than one might first think. I could certainly read it over & over & almost certainly will. Cheers........N

After reading Lydia's review, which reflects her often sensual point of view in her many lovely poems, I feel a bit sheepish (or maybe doggish) to admit that I was picturing a wagging pink tongue dripping water across my kitchen floor after a big session of noisy gulping! *wink! wink!* What a wide spectrum of imagery your words evoke!
