The Ghost's Abyss

The Ghost's Abyss

A Poem by Rachel Taylor

Drag the blade across your skin

Let the ghost inside you win

Take the hurt, feel the pain

Deeper now, all in vain

Can’t they see your agony yet?

Just end it now, you won’t regret

Become a memory, just stop caring

End the lies, stop the staring

Drag the blade across your skin

Let the ghost inside you win

Your sadness now consumes your mind

There's nothing left for you to find

Dive into the abyss with your shattered soul

Nothing in this world can make you whole

Your blackened heart can't be saved now

Discard the hope your soul allows

Drag the blade into your skin

Let the ghost inside you win

All the way, nothing less

No more suffering, no regrets

Blood pours out, watch the show

Feel your heartbeat start to slow

No more blood, open skin

You let the ghost inside you win
