Happily Forever After

She will not let him let her go. Because she belongs in Will-Liam's world.

I am sobbing, and the Stranger is soothing me. 

Shh, he is saying, his voice cracked. You don’t have to speak anymore. You don’t have to hurt anymore. All the pain- he swallows. All the pain is going to go away.

 

I want to go home, I tell him.

You are going home.

 

No, no-

Rose. He beams at me through his tears. You are going home.

 

I crumble against him. I can feel his hands and voice trembling. I can see him sweating.

 

It kills me to have him kill me as I begin to feel alive. I can finally feel, and that makes it all so real.

 

But the pain is also real.

  

Is it going to hurt? I whisper.

Just for a moment.

 

I’m scared.

Don’t be.

 

He is kissing my hair, my neck, my ear.  But he says nothing more, as there is nothing more to say.
