Your Insults

Your Insults

A Poem by June

I stand before you as a human,
With many imperfections,
With much potential yet to be realized.

I stand before you as the girl that
Had been abandoned by her family
And betrayed by her closest allies.

I know not of my mistakes
But of my accomplishments
For though I cannot fix what is out of my control,
I can control my life.

I stand before you with passion;
For though I know not of what the future lies for me;
For though my past will soon catch up with me;
For though every bit of mistakes my maker has put onto me
Is still evident throughout me;

I will still survive.
The present is waiting for me.
