Infected

Infected

A Poem by Glee

Infected

"

You had a shower this morning?
Been to the bathroom, don't come any closer!
Wash your hands first
Brush your teeth
Do the laundry
Do the dishes
Vacuum clean the apartment

It might be a phobia, but its how we survive
it might be a nausea, but its how we keep going
Cleanliness is next to godliness

Hes been here?
Oh no, don't tell me hes been here?

You touched him?
Oh no, don't tell me you touched him?

Can't you see hes infected?
Can't you see hes rejected?
Can't you see hes in denial?

Hes contracted a contagious disease
Hes suffering a transmittable infection

Every juicy fluid in his body is affected
Every precious juice in his system is infected

Blood
Sweat
Saliva
Tears
semen
urine
stools

Every juicy fluid is contaminated
Everything he touches is contaminated
Everywhere hes been is contaminated

Just bring in the strongest disinfectant cream
Spread it all over everything

You touched him?
Oh no, don't tell me you touched him?

Don't come any closer
Don't touch anything

We have to disinfect everything
Disinfect everything

cups
plates
knives
forks
spoons
clothes
sheets
towels
tables
chairs
carpets

Disinfect everything
Disinfect everything

Just bring in the strongest disinfectant cream
Spread it all over everything

You say you love him
But love is no renowned disinfectant
Just try hydroxydiphenyl instead

Not enough

Put on your plastic gown
Wear your rubber gloves
Put on your head mask
Wear your protective shoes

Then hag him
And kiss him
And love him
Tell him you'll never leave him

In sickness and in health
For better or for worse
You'll always be there

But how could you be there when you've been infected?

Oh no, you touched him.
Don't tell me you touched him.

Put down the names of everyone you've ever been with
Write down the addresses of everyone you've ever touched
List down their phone numbers

They must be called
They must be warned
They must be quarantined
They must not put others to the risk

But couldn't you see hes infected?
But how could you see without microscopic eye sight?
