What do I hate?

 

Hate it when people treat you bad

Because then I’d have to see you so sad

 

Hate it when you’re away

Because then I’d have no one to please

 

Hate it when you don’t speak

Because then I’d have to talk to myself

 

Hate it when you cry

Because then I’d have to wipe those tears off you

 

Hate it when you leave

Because then I’d have no one to ease

 

Used to dance jazz music

Used to watch old movies

Used to admire these gorgeous tulips

 

But once you’d been gone

 

How I’d hate these wilted tulips

For then I’d have no one to give them to          

 

How I’d hate this jazz song

For then I’d have no one to dance it with

 

How I’d hate these old movies

For then I’d have no one to watch them with

 

I’d hate them with all my heart

My soul

My being

 

For then they would just remind me of you

 

But there is one thing I could never hate

Never hate for all the days I’ve known you

For all the moments we’ve spent together

 

And that is loving you

For then your love would grow sweeter with time

Wonderful poem to remind us off all the things that we can't know that we cannot live without...until we lose them. A wonderful reminder of some of the things that make our lives with those we love so amazing... I really enjoyed this piece.
