Struggle for Perfection

 

Life is precious

Love is important

We must choose those we decide to spend the rest of our lives with wisely

That’s how we keep from getting hurt

That’s how we keep from regretting

What do we strive to be

What do I struggle to become

 

To be self-reliant in all that I do and have

To be principled and live by my word

To be honest with myself and others

To be excitable for happiness is but for the moment

To be hardworking for nothing comes easy

To be inspiring for there is no limit to what others can do

To be motivating for one must have purpose

To be hygienic for cleanliness is next to godliness

To be spiritual for materials are but for the moment

To be decent for we must not live like savages

To be understanding for anything could happen to anyone

To be humble for simplicity will get us far ahead

To be humorous for laughter keeps us going

To be educated for there is no excuse for ignorance

To be talented in all that I strive to do and excel

To be foresighted and not just live for the moment

To be compassionate for we were not born in this world alone

And finally to love my fellow man as he loves me

 

For that is all I strive to be

What more do I owe the world

pheww....perfection is a puzzle...you never know where will it end....but then again, sometimes its just best to be who you are, and not strive for perfection!
